New Yorkers, don’t miss the Brooklyn Book Festival this Sunday, Sept. 21!! Among other things it has some great comics programming which I had a (very small) hand in helping to organize.

Maybe the reason I stopped doing commercial illustration is that I was offered my ideal job in 2000 or so: doing spot illos for a cocktail manual. The book is called The Perfect Drink for Every Occasion, by Duane Swiercyznski (who is now a comic book writer among other things) and it was reissued a few years ago though it’s not clear to me if they used my drawings in it or not… Here are a few of my favorites.
